Staff Financial Analyst

Location: San Jose, United States of America

Annual salary: $112,000–$208,000 in California, plus potential incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage operational details and processes related to commissions.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate commissions workflows.
• Work with Commissions and Sales Operations on inputs, outputs, and process coordination.
• Help scale operations, improve accuracy, and reduce risk to financial results.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with commissions systems and finance data extraction and reporting workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Approximately five years of progressive experience, ideally in the technology industry.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation, and structured workbook creation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with large data sets.

Nice to have

• Experience with commissions software and Sales Compensation plans and operations.
• Knowledge of revenue accounting principles, including ASC 606 and software revenue recognition.
• Experience leading process improvement and automation projects.
