Senior Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Waltham Office, United States; travel to domestic and international customer sites up to 50% of the time.

Salary: $88,603.82–$110,754.78 annually, plus an annual bonus structure.

What you will do

• Lead customer account technical execution, system integrations, validations, field tests, commissioning, and readiness activities.
• Design site-specific robotic solutions and manage network architecture, equipment configuration, and system connectivity.
• Create and maintain SOWs, Customer Solution Documents, Interface Control Documents, Integration Scoping Documents, and other customer-facing documentation.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex field support issues, conducting troubleshooting, repairs, log analysis, root cause analysis, and coordination of permanent fixes.
• Develop API- and SDK-based tools, provide advanced technical support and training, and support customer and partner development teams.
• Gather customer feedback, support product launches and early-stage integrations, and collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and customer teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience.
• Senior-level experience in field applications engineering, solution architecture, or system design, including complex integrations.
• Experience delivering advanced technical solutions directly to customers and managing long-term relationships.
• Experience planning and executing multi-site integrations involving hardware and software systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD or comparable software experience.
• Advanced networking and network security knowledge, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Linux, Ubuntu, and scripting experience for system management and automation.
• Programming experience with Python, C++, TypeScript, Kotlin, or other modern languages for robotics or automation.
