Senior Analyst, Data & Insights, Games

Location: New York, NY; hybrid role based at the New York City headquarters with office attendance typically 3 days per week

Annual base salary: $101,000–$114,000 USD, plus eligibility for variable pay such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.

What you will do

• Create data-driven insights and lead their application to business decisions.
• Develop centralized reporting dashboards and automated reports to expand access to analytics.
• Write SQL to build data pipelines and analyze large datasets.
• Run A/B tests, deliver insights, and advise on future testing and next steps.
• Partner with Product, Newsroom, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, and PMO teams.
• Advise cross-functional partners on areas of opportunity and report to the Senior Manager, Data and Insights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with data analytics or data science teams.
• 1+ year of experience applying statistical methods to analytical problems.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Proficiency in at least one additional scripting language, such as R or Python.
• Experience with data visualization, presenting insights, and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to analytical delivery and journalistic independence.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data environments such as BigQuery or Amazon Web Services, including datasets with 10M+ rows.
• Experience with dbt or another data transformation or scheduling tool.
• Experience with GitHub, version control, and code review.
• At least 1 year of experience with A/B testing.
