Mid / Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (HealthTech)

HealthTech team delivering software for the US market that speeds up patient access to prescribed medicines and home delivery.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain server-side features in a mature, domain-organized Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Design and optimize relational data models in PostgreSQL and integrate with MSSQL where required.
• Build reliable background job flows with Sidekiq, REST APIs, WebSocket endpoints, and secure authentication.
• Write automated tests, participate in architecture decisions, and improve scalability, reliability, and security.
• Use feature flags, error monitoring, analytics, Docker, and CI/CD to support safe releases and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients in English through technical calls, demos, and requirements discussions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience for Mid level, or at least 5 years for Senior level.
• Strong PostgreSQL and relational database design experience, with familiarity with NoSQL, caching, and message brokers.
• Practical experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, JWT, cookie-based authentication, and OAuth.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Git, design patterns, SOLID principles, and automated testing such as RSpec or Minitest.
• Experience making architectural decisions focused on scalability and reliability, plus daily use of AI development tools and critical review of generated code.
• Fluent English for client-facing communication and fluent Polish for internal collaboration are required.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with Vue or React.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider and Nginx.
• HealthTech or pharmacy experience, including HIPAA, e-prescribing, insurance workflows, or FHIR.
• Experience in consulting, client-embedded delivery, full-stack delivery engineering, or startups with broad responsibilities.
