Vice President, Decentralized Finance OnChain Counsel - Corporate (DeFi)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Base salary: $220,000–$250,000 USD annually, plus discretionary bonus and equity incentives.

hirify.global provides onchain infrastructure for digital assets, including trading, advisory, asset management, staking, self-custody, and tokenization, and develops data center infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing.

What you will do

• Advise on legal matters involving decentralized finance, staking, validation, tokenization, and digital asset transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate token purchase, staking, validation, token liquidity, token grant, and related agreements.
• Analyze regulatory requirements affecting DeFi and cryptocurrency projects and identify legal risks.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to support compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage negotiation resources, outside counsel engagements, non-disclosure agreements, and corporate projects.
• Address intellectual property, data privacy, governance, and emerging technology matters.

Requirements

• 3+ years of transactional experience at a top-tier law firm or crypto-focused company.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain, staking, validation, and DeFi protocols.
• Experience negotiating digital asset agreements, including token purchase, staking, validation, liquidity, and grant agreements.
• Strong critical thinking, strategic problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, demanding environment.
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of U.S. securities laws, KYB/AML compliance, and digital asset regulation.
• Experience handling staking and DeFi-specific legal matters.
• Understanding of vaults, vault curation, DeFi lending markets, trading, and lending products.
