Senior Legal Counsel - Music

Location: Office-based in Paris, France, with the office located in Saint-Mandé

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate music licensing, commissioning, distribution, and synchronization agreements in French and English.
• Advise game production teams on music-related legal questions and translate legal concepts into practical guidance.
• Support and train creative teams worldwide on legal risks, policies, and music content matters.
• Monitor legal and business developments in the music and video game industries.
• Improve standard agreements and legal processes while ensuring alignment with business needs and risk tolerance.
• Work with specialized external counsel on sensitive pre-litigation matters.

Requirements

• Significant experience in music law, including publishing and/or recorded music.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating music contracts under various legal systems, including synchronization licenses.
• Bilingual French and English, with the ability to draft and negotiate in both languages.
• Experience managing multiple projects in an international, multicultural environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills.
