Engineer III - Design & Analysis (Polymer Sealing)

What you will do

• Translate complex customer requirements into high-performance sealing solutions using advanced materials and manufacturing processes.
• Partner with customers, sales, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams from concept through product delivery, including customer-site travel.
• Generate, lead, and approve design proposals, production drawings, component and assembly analyses, and technical documentation.
• Recommend materials, evaluate flagged material batches, and define qualification, testing, and validation methods.
• Lead strategic engineering and business initiatives, process improvements, and technology extensions across cross-functional teams.
• Diagnose returned-product failure modes, prepare customer-facing technical reports, and represent hirify.global at technical committees and industry events.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in an engineering or design environment.
• Experience with 3D CAD software; knowledge of FEA systems is preferred.
• Experience with polymer, plastics, or elastomer design and manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to travel 10–20% for customer or industry meetings.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge, preferably Yellow Belt.
• Experience with material testing and material data analysis.
• Previous customer-facing experience.
• Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and/or Mil-STD-810 standards.
