Senior Blockchain Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and build blockchain integration services for transaction signing, deposit processing, and confirmation tracking across EVM, Solana, Polkadot, XRP, and other networks.
• Build and maintain Go-based gRPC microservices in an event-driven architecture using NATS JetStream.
• Implement reliable transaction state machines with idempotency, distributed locking, and chain reorganization handling.
• Integrate custody providers for secure transaction signing and wallet management.
• Monitor blockchain networks for deposits, confirmations, and anomalies, and participate in the on-call rotation for production incidents.
• Communicate directly with client technical teams when necessary.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fintech.
• Deep proficiency with Go and understanding of blockchain technologies, protocols, and applications.
• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, message brokers or event streaming systems such as NATS or Kafka.
• Experience with MongoDB or other document databases, plus SQL and relational database schema design.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, independent decision-making, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in banking-as-a-service, brokerage-as-a-service, payment-as-a-service, digital assets, or centralized exchanges.
• Experience with custody platforms such as Fireblocks or BitGo and with smart contracts.
• Knowledge of distributed systems patterns including CQRS, distributed locking, idempotency, and state machines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
