Communications and Engagement Manager (Defence)

Location: Fareham, United Kingdom; ideally around London or the South East, with some remote working possible. Support is provided across the country, with occasional travel to Sweden.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy aligned with company vision, values, and goals.
• Plan communications campaigns for business updates, key initiatives, and change programmes.
• Create, edit, and manage content across intranet, newsletters, internal social platforms, and other communication channels.
• Partner with senior leaders, HR, and marketing to improve visibility, engagement, culture, and employer branding.
• Enable two-way communication through surveys, Q&A sessions, town halls, and internal events.
• Manage the communications calendar, platforms, analytics, and reporting to improve communication effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications.
• Experience driving cultural change and communicating change within an organisation.
• Strong written, editing, verbal communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing audiences at all organisational levels.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
