Senior Payroll Specialist

Location: Remote in Canada

Base salary: CAD 72,000–99,000 annually

What you will do

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for entities in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, plus EOR employees managed through Deel.
• Manage payroll taxes, statutory requirements, filings, year-end activities, and regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, controls, and exception handling before payroll finalization.
• Manage external payroll providers and resolve service delivery issues.
• Partner with Finance, People Experience, and Legal on complex payroll matters and employee support.
• Support payroll transformation, including process redesign, data migration, testing, UAT, and the transition to Rippling.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on UK payroll experience, including multi-entity or global payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, reconciliations, controls, and statutory requirements.
• Experience with payroll platforms and EOR providers such as Deel, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Celergo, or Rippling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to investigate payroll issues independently, manage multiple deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
