Senior Data Research Analyst (Investment Data)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with four days in the office each week.

Base salary: EUR 39,000.00–52,333.33 per year; annual bonus target: 7.5%.

What you will do

• Process, collect, and maintain investment data across global markets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, coverage, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with global data teams, local business representatives, internal clients, and fund companies.
• Manage data provider relationships, establish acquisition channels, and act as an escalation point for data issues.
• Evaluate procedures, improve analytical tools, and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Track data quality and performance metrics while owning issues through investigation, follow-up, and resolution.
• Translate internal client requests into detailed specifications and user stories, improving and documenting client use cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Fluent English is required.
• Solid understanding of the financial industry and strong interest in investment data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage high data volumes and strict deadlines.
• Experience with data methodology, quality, and processes; experience in project management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and process automation.
• Knowledge of French, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, or Spanish.
• Experience with LEAN Six Sigma methodologies.
