Graduate Facade Engineer (Fire Engineering)

What you will do

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical information for façade and external wall systems.
• Prepare technical reports, façade engineering notes, external wall fire assessment reports, and supporting appendices.
• Support PAS 9980-led external wall fire assessments and desktop studies.
• Participate in site inspections and intrusive surveys covering façade build-ups, materials, fixings, and fire stopping.
• Assist with thermal and structural engineering tasks, including thermal bridging, U-values, condensation risk, load paths, and fixing concepts.
• Coordinate technical evidence, project records, internal disciplines, external stakeholders, and client meetings under supervision.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK or Ireland.
• Master’s degree completed within the last two years or expected in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Interest in façade engineering, external walls, fire safety, and the thermal or structural performance of façade systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications, with strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Nice to have

• A second European language.
• Interest in progressing toward professional accreditation and Chartered Engineer status.
