What you will do

• Publish breaking local and national news across websites, apps, and social media.
• Coordinate on-air and online coverage with news managers, assignment editors, and on-air talent.
• Execute livestreams on owned and social platforms.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the website while meeting ABC7 editorial standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong editorial skills, news judgment, writing, grammar, communication, and AP Style proficiency.
• Social media expertise and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure news environment.
• Availability for flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work on-site at the company-designated location in Glendale.

Nice to have

• Photo and video editing experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of digital metrics and analytics.
• Strong understanding of SEO and social media best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.
