TL;DR
Senior Data Scientist (AI): Building and deploying AI-based solutions for a SaaS financial operations platform with an accent on machine learning, LLMs, and end-to-end production delivery. Focus on developing agentic systems, evaluating models, integrating APIs and async services, and mentoring junior data scientists.
Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; hybrid work with office attendance three days per week on Tuesday–Thursday

What you will do
- Identify AI opportunities that improve product experiences and operational efficiency.
- Collect, analyze, and model financial datasets to develop actionable AI products.
- Own AI solution delivery from problem definition and research through modeling, validation, and production deployment.
- Build and integrate LLM-based agentic systems, APIs, asynchronous processing, and monitoring.
- Investigate production quality issues using logs, metrics, and data, then verify fixes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists while collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 6+ years of experience in data science, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
- Proven experience delivering AI or ML solutions from research and prototyping to production.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based agentic systems.
- Experience with model evaluation, labeled evaluation sets, metrics, offline benchmarks, and shadow or A/B comparisons.
- Professional Hebrew and English communication skills required.
Nice to have
- Strong Python engineering with pytest, async programming, Pydantic, Git, and code review.
- Experience with embeddings, vector or hybrid search, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, and RAG.
- Experience with document AI, OCR, invoices, and financial documents.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, MLflow, Redshift, or similar data warehouses.
- Experience with AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and Bedrock.
