Member of Technical Staff (Data Engineering)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco office, United States

Salary: $210,000–$285,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines, infrastructure, and internal tools.
• Support data transformations, analytical models, and business intelligence workflows.
• Manage data access controls and permissioning.
• Improve data reliability, performance, and quality.
• Work with engineering, analytics, business, and other teams to understand and support their data needs.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering, infrastructure, or backend systems.
• Familiarity with Kafka, ClickHouse, and a data orchestrator such as Dagster or Airflow.
• Comfort with SQL, data transformations, and permissioning.
• Understanding of how data infrastructure supports BI and analytics.
• Experience building and operating large-scale production data systems.
• Ability to work fully in person from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tools and supporting analytics.
