Staff AI Deployment Engineer, Australia

Location: Based in Australia, with flexibility to travel onsite to the Canberra hub

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, monitor, and improve agentic AI workflows, including multi-step agents, tool and function calling, automations, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Connect agents and the hirify.global platform to customer data sources, APIs, systems of record, and business workflows with appropriate permissions and guardrails.
• Lead customer implementations from scoping and configuration through integration, validation, go-live, handoff, and adoption.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customer working sessions, demonstrations, technical deep dives, requirements gathering, and expectation management.
• Coordinate engineering, data science, product, and customer success teams while escalating blockers and feeding recurring customer needs back into product development.
• Own implementation roadmaps, requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria, success metrics, reusable playbooks, and documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of customer-facing technical delivery experience in implementation, engineering, professional services, technical program management, or hands-on product management.
• Experience shipping complex technical projects with external stakeholders under real deadlines.
• Working proficiency in Python or a comparable language, plus fluency with SQL, APIs, Git-based workflows, and cloud-hosted systems.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying agentic AI systems, including LLM agents, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agent evaluation, agent frameworks or protocols such as MCP or LangChain, and integrations with external tools, APIs, and data sources.
• Understanding of data pipelines, data modeling, and ML systems, with the ability to diagnose issues and work credibly with engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with global trade, supply chain, customs, or trade compliance.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise software implementations.
• Exposure to Spark, Databricks, large-scale data processing, internal tooling, automation, or formal product management.
