Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada; United States citizenship required, with 3 of the past 5 years residing in the United States or working overseas in a United States federal or military capacity, or being a dependent of such an employee. Additional checks are required for LAR certification.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 base annually.

What you will do

• Add new features, maintain existing functionality, and support key products.
• Plan application designs, clarify goals, and design functionality.
• Extend software systems, monitor performance, evaluate improvements, and introduce new technologies.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud deployments using standardized, automated, and auditable processes.
• Develop unit tests and automated software quality assurance, including code coverage and security standards.
• Support production releases, respond to client queries, identify bugs and enhancements, and collaborate with teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience programming in Microsoft C# or an equivalent language.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Competence with object-oriented principles, design patterns, multi-tiered architectures, and software development best practices.
• Experience with web APIs, RESTful API design, JSON, XML, data structures, and protocols used for internet services.
• Experience with Vue.js or equivalent frameworks and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud platforms, including working knowledge of security and scalability fundamentals.
• Ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve code issues efficiently and effectively.
• A methodical and tenacious approach to troubleshooting complex problems, with respectful communication and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of MVC and MVVM.
• Competence with Microsoft Visual Studio, VSCode, and Git source control.
• Experience with Azure monitoring.
