Full Stack Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: Melbourne/Abbotsford, Australia; hybrid work with regular office attendance. Valid, unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: A$115,000–A$130,000 base per year plus superannuation.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy full-stack features across NestJS/Node.js backend services and Vue.js frontends.
• Break down requirements, estimate work, identify trade-offs, document architecture decisions, and deliver initiatives through production release.
• Integrate cloud services with live SolShare devices in collaboration with firmware, hardware, and product teams.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest and Cypress, and participate in constructive code reviews.
• Use AI developer tools for routine development tasks while maintaining required testing, security, and quality standards.
• Improve bug handling, edge-case coverage, performance, reliability, runbooks, and the shared on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Commercial experience building and shipping production web applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong TypeScript and modern backend fundamentals, with practical experience in Node.js frameworks such as NestJS, Express, or similar structured architectures.
• Experience building responsive, accessible interfaces with modern frameworks such as Vue.js or React; willingness to learn Vue 3 is acceptable for candidates with strong React/TypeScript skills.
• Confidence with relational databases, SQL, schema design, and reliable querying.
• Ability to use AI assistants productively while questioning assumptions, identifying edge cases, and taking full ownership of shipped code.
• Clear communication, proactive curiosity about unfamiliar technical domains, and a focus on maintainable software.
• Valid, unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to IoT systems, WebSockets, or streaming telemetry data.
• Interest in clean energy, sustainability, and climate solutions.
