Postdoctoral Research Associate (Membrane Protein Biochemistry)

Location: College Station, Texas, United States; occasional travel to scientific conferences or collaborating institutions may be required.

What you will do

• Design and conduct independent research on membrane protein structure, function, and molecular interactions.
• Use biochemical, biophysical, structural biology, and mass spectrometry approaches, including native mass spectrometry.
• Develop and optimize experimental methods, analyze data, and maintain accurate research records.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, research proposals, journal publications, and scientific presentations.
• Collaborate with laboratory members and external partners while providing guidance to graduate and undergraduate researchers.
• Maintain instrumentation and research resources, follow laboratory safety procedures, and participate in professional development.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Research experience in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, mass spectrometry, or related areas.
• Experience with membrane protein biochemistry, mass spectrometry, structural biology, or related biophysical methods.
• Ability to design and conduct independent experiments, analyze scientific data, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Some experiments may require work outside normal business hours.
