What you will do

• Investigate conserved mechanisms of muscle aging and proteostasis using mice and Drosophila.
• Study how muscle-derived signals, including myokines, influence proteostasis in the central nervous system.
• Examine mechanisms involved in the progression of age-related diseases.
• Apply molecular, biochemical, and cell biological techniques in developmental neurobiology research.
• Contribute independently and collaboratively to research in aging and neurobiology.

Requirements

• Must not have already started postdoctoral training elsewhere.
• Ph.D. recently awarded or expected soon.
• Expertise in molecular, biochemical, and cell biological techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in research efforts.
• Strong interest in making a major contribution to aging and neurobiology research.

Nice to have

• Training in Drosophila neurobiology.
• Experience with tauopathy research.
