Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Growth Analytics)

Location: Portland, Maine, USA. Campus-based hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite.

Base salary: $89,400–$183,500 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand challenges and translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Perform data profiling, source evaluation, statistical analysis, and complex business intelligence investigations.
• Design and deliver dashboards, reports, datasets, and analytical solutions that drive measurable business impact.
• Communicate findings and recommendations through data-driven storytelling to influence strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to validate data quality and support testing.
• Mentor junior analysts and lead continuous improvement of analytical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and strong experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of data profiling, data modeling, statistical analysis, data visualization, data warehouses, transactional databases, APIs, and modern data ecosystems.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, stakeholder-influence, mentoring, and coaching skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and emerging analytics technologies.
