AI Engineer (Machine Learning)

Location: Remote within the Philippines, Metro Manila; working hours and holidays follow Australia

Salary: Up to PHP 120,000 per month

What you will do

• Architect and maintain production-ready AI pipelines, APIs, and microservices for client platforms.
• Integrate, fine-tune, and optimize LLM, NLP, and machine learning solutions for specific client domains.
• Build scalable data ingestion, transformation, and vector indexing pipelines for RAG, inference, and training workflows.
• Monitor and benchmark model accuracy, latency, performance, and resource consumption in production.
• Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, consultants, and stakeholders on technical requirements and deployment strategies.
• Implement guardrails, evaluation frameworks, testing procedures, and data privacy protections.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on machine learning systems, enterprise software, or AI application development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience with backend languages such as Node, Go, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and libraries including PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and vector databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or pgvector.
• Experience deploying models to AWS, GCP, or Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless compute.

Nice to have

• Experience building RAG architectures and multi-agent AI systems for enterprise clients.
• Knowledge of model optimization techniques such as quantization, pruning, continuous batching, or vLLM.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong consulting and communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
