Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid work with onsite presence three days per week, Tuesday–Thursday.

Salary: $48–$52 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures covering identity, access management, data protection, network security, and secure communications.
• Oversee SOC operations, threat detection, incident response, monitoring, and remediation across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop security governance frameworks, policies, standards, runbooks, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into cloud-native applications, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead cybersecurity projects, coordinate resources, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate status and security posture to senior leadership.
• Mentor cybersecurity professionals and support audits, assessments, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in cloud security engineering, cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or incident response.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security architectures and major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, network segmentation, logging and monitoring, Kubernetes security, and container hardening.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar tools, plus experience automating security tasks and workflows.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Fort Worth three days per week, Tuesday–Thursday.

Nice to have

• Experience in the airline or aviation industry.
• Advanced degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
