2027 Spring Co-op Downstream Process Development and Technologies (Biotechnology)

Location: Framingham, Massachusetts, United States; on-site. Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for the full six-month co-op from January through June 2027.

Salary: $35–$57 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Execute chromatography and filtration operations, protein stability studies, analytical testing, and data analysis.
• Participate in an MSAT development project focused on protein purification process characterization and/or protein drug substance stability.
• Design and perform experiments using small-scale models, analyze results, and recommend follow-up experiments.
• Collaborate with the MSAT project team, attend regular meetings, and share study progress and results.
• Prepare internal presentations, protocols, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline, with degree completion expected by Spring 2028.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Must remain enrolled at an accredited college or university throughout the co-op.
• Must be able to relocate to Framingham and work on-site full time for the complete co-op period.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Experience with downstream processes, chromatography such as AKTA, tangential flow filtration, or nanofiltration.
• Knowledge of protein stability studies and routine protein analytical techniques.
