Associate Technician, Expert Singleton Purification

Location: On premise in Groton, Connecticut, United States. Standard day shift of approximately 40 hours per week. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $24.22–$40.36 per hour, with eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums.

What you will do

• Generate experimental data for analytical screening and purification of mid- to large-scale reactions.
• Execute experiment designs provided by scientists and support analytical chemistry development from early synthesis through toxicology deliveries.
• Operate, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot Waters, Agilent, and Shimadzu UPLC-MS and SFC-MS equipment.
• Document experimental conditions and material quantities in the Signals electronic laboratory notebook.
• Maintain laboratory inventories, supplies, chemicals, and solvents to support continuous workflows.
• Keep work areas stocked, clean, orderly, and compliant with laboratory safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus either related additional education and 2+ years of chemistry laboratory experience, or API manufacturing experience with laboratory exposure.
• Oral and written communication skills, including accurate scientific notebook documentation.
• Familiarity with modern analytical tools and techniques.
• Ability to work in a laboratory fume hood, set up samples for analysis, and lift 20-liter solvent containers.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Process Technology or Biotechnology Certificate, or an A.S. degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and ChemDraw.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools and interest in using them to improve productivity.
