Protein Purification Associate Scientist (Biotechnology)

What you will do

• Perform protein purification using affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, and hydrophobic interaction chromatography.
• Prepare buffers and reagents according to SOPs and project-specific protocols.
• Characterize proteins using SDS-PAGE, Western blot, HPLC, UV spectroscopy, BCA assays, and other analytical methods.
• Document experimental procedures and results accurately, completely, and on time.
• Troubleshoot and optimize purification protocols to improve yield and purity.
• Collaborate with upstream, analytical, and quality teams and support SOP, batch record, and technical report development.

Requirements

• BS or MS in molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in protein purification or characterization.
• Strong organizational, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a CRO or CDMO setting is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AKTA systems and chromatography software.
