Field Applications Engineer (Spector)

Location: Based in Sugar Land, Texas, United States, with approximately 75% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $94,910.00–$126,547.00 annually, plus a bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead process qualification, acceptance, installation, startup, and production ramp activities for ion beam deposition systems at customer sites.
• Execute established process best-known methods and transfer processes from hirify.global development environments into customer manufacturing operations.
• Characterize processes, collect and analyze data, prepare qualification reports, and verify customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot process, hardware, and system performance issues and drive corrective actions with field service, engineering, and applications teams.
• Conduct root cause investigations, resolve customer escalations, and provide feedback for product improvements.
• Train customers on equipment operation, process execution, maintenance procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• At least five years of experience with semiconductor, optical coating, thin-film deposition, vacuum processes, or related manufacturing equipment.
• Experience qualifying and supporting production equipment in customer manufacturing environments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues, interpret process data, and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support, applications engineering, process engineering, or field engineering.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor, photonics, optical coatings, or advanced materials manufacturing.
