Summer 2027: Cybersecurity Compliance Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, California, United States; relocation stipend provided.

Expected base pay: $45.5–$82 per hour in Mountain View.

What you will do

• Expand the Common Control Framework by mapping controls across ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, DORA, NIS2, and NYDFS Part 500.
• Build GRC engineering solutions using scripts, integrations, APIs, and dashboards to automate evidence collection, control monitoring, and audit readiness.
• Support AI compliance initiatives, including AI system inventories, risk and impact assessments, and ISO 42001 certification readiness.
• Harmonize controls, policies, and audit evidence across hirify.global entities such as Credit Karma and Mailchimp.
• Prepare control narratives, validate evidence, track remediation items, and report compliance metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time for the internship duration.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment at an hirify.global office location.
• Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program with graduation after the internship ends.
• Awareness of cybersecurity concepts, common vulnerabilities, security compliance frameworks, governance, risk analysis, or IT audit.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, SQL, JavaScript, or another language, with interest in automation, data analysis, or API integrations.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including comfort with structured data, spreadsheets, and control-mapping exercises.

Nice to have

• Experience with GRC platforms or compliance automation tools such as ServiceNow GRC, Vanta, Drata, or Hyperproof.
• Experience with cloud security, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Coursework or projects in AI governance, responsible AI, or machine learning systems.
• Knowledge of emerging fintech regulations, payments compliance, CTFs, personal security projects, or open-source contributions.
