Product Manager (AI)

Location: Remote within the UK, with occasional travel to Basingstoke and client sites.

Salary: Up to £45,000 per year.

What you will do

• Maintain the combined roadmap and ordered backlogs across the SMART AI product portfolio.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning with Product Specialists.
• Turn agreed priorities into complete, estimated and scheduled work ready for delivery.
• Coordinate Product, Delivery and Engineering, tracking progress, capacity, dependencies and work in progress.
• Maintain the shared platform backlog and coordinate dependencies between the platform and connected products.
• Coordinate client UAT, track delivery through release and produce roadmap, queue-status and backlog-health reporting.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining a product backlog or roadmap in product management, product ownership, business analysis or a similar technology, AI or software delivery role.
• Structured and organised approach to competing requests across multiple products or teams.
• Confidence collaborating with product, client-facing, delivery and engineering colleagues and facilitating planning and refinement sessions.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing work items, acceptance criteria, estimates and dependencies.
• Working knowledge of GenAI, large language models and agentic AI, plus a practical understanding of software design, development and release.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps Boards, delivery plans or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban or flow-based work management.
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agentic software delivery.
• Experience with SaaS products, cloud platforms, shared platform dependencies or public sector service delivery.
