Sr. Lead SW Full Stack Engineering (Java/React)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $114,500–$194,700 USD annually.

What you will do

• Modernize legacy applications and add functionality to the Global Family Office SaaS solution.
• Design and develop scalable components with Java, React, and Spring Boot.
• Gather requirements, analyze user needs, and create application architecture, flow charts, specifications, and technical stories.
• Write clean, documented code and implement testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous integration practices.
• Coordinate with SQA teams to validate user stories, resolve defects, and support software delivery.
• Collaborate across the GFO team and support junior developers with technical troubleshooting and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of software development experience in an Agile environment and at least 7 years of Java development experience.
• At least 5 years of React development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, GitHub, RESTful APIs, Kafka, Solace, monitoring tools, and software development life cycle practices.
• Experience with test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, rapid iterative delivery, and security scanning tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx, or CAST.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Dashboards, and Confluence.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Azure Cloud certification.
