What you will do

• Act as a clinical subject matter expert for product and project teams, advising on clinical workflows, clinical knowledge, and data best practices.
• Design, build, test, update, and maintain clinical data assets that support clinical decision-making and workflow automation.
• Translate clinical requirements into workflow, informatics, and data specifications, and validate delivered features for clinical soundness.
• Analyze clinical data, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and improve decision-support logic and workflow automation.
• Review technical specifications and maintain mappings to standardized clinical and medical vocabularies.
• Collaborate with clinical, product, engineering, quality, and training stakeholders on guideline development, governance, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted clinical license and current board certification in a relevant discipline, such as MD/DO, PharmD, NP, or PA.
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience and 5+ years of hands-on clinical informatics experience, including data development, analysis, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and experience with multiple EHR systems.
• High proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of FHIR, the FHIR resource model, and FHIRPath syntax.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and clinical data-modeling skills, with the ability to work across clinical and technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Formal training in clinical informatics, such as graduate coursework, a certificate, or board certification.
• Experience building or maintaining clinical content, terminology mappings, or decision-support data sets.
• Experience using Claude, Claude Code, or other AI models for data design, QA, and integrity.
• Experience with clinical data or medical vocabulary companies such as LOINC, SNOMED CT, Medi-Span, First Databank, or Lexicomp.
