Senior Security Engineer - Blue Team

Location: Remote anywhere in Brazil

What you will do

• Lead security incidents through triage, containment, eradication, recovery, stakeholder communication, and post-incident review.
• Own incident response playbooks, severity models, on-call practices, and tabletop exercises with engineering and IT.
• Build and tune Datadog Cloud SIEM detections across AWS, Kubernetes, and Google Workspace.
• Investigate suspicious activity in cloud, identity, and workload logs while collecting and preserving evidence.
• Improve cloud security posture, including IAM, and coordinate prioritized remediation with engineering squads.
• Automate detection and response tasks and report security posture to engineering leadership while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Blue Team, defensive security, or security operations.
• Hands-on experience leading security incident response from detection through post-incident follow-up.
• Experience with cloud forensics, log analysis, evidence collection, and evidence preservation.
• Experience building and tuning SIEM detections and alerts using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, or NIST.
• Experience securing AWS and Kubernetes, including AWS IAM and SSO permission reviews and remediation.
• Experience with Python or Bash, Terraform, cross-team security initiatives, mentoring, and fluent English for daily work with native speakers.
