Sr Infrastructure Cloud Security Engineer (AWS)

Annual base salary: $135,000.00–$180,000.00

What you will do

• Build and define the cloud and application security posture, including cyber resilience and zero trust initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud-hosted infrastructure, applications, and data across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Lead hardening initiatives covering IAM, network segmentation, PAM, workload protection, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Evaluate security tooling, monitor and respond to cloud security incidents, and lead root cause analysis.
• Mature the application security program through security SDLC, code scanning, SCA, threat modeling, penetration testing, secure coding standards, and developer education.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders, provide security guidance, and define measurable security KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of industry or relevant experience, including at least 7 years in cloud security engineering, application security, product security, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, cloud security principles, container security, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of encryption, key management, insider threat, risk management, compliance, and security best practices.
• Strong analytical, risk-based problem-solving, communication, and independent execution skills.

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, ISSAP, or CISM.
