Security Engineer (Cloud/DevSecOps)

Location: Remote from Hungary or Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain security architectures across cloud, third-party, and on-premises environments.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, establish secure development standards, and conduct secure code reviews.
• Implement encryption, cryptographic key management, identity and access solutions, SSO, identity providers, and federation protocols.
• Assess security risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity, then coordinate mitigation plans and continuous monitoring.
• Support incident response, security operations, compliance assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
• Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance on security architecture and tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in security engineering and GRC-focused security solutions development.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
• Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing platforms, and security monitoring tools.
• Experience securing cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++, plus automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, DevSecOps, secure coding, cryptography, encryption, key management, and digital signatures.
