Senior BI Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote, with the option to work from the Warsaw office or a coworking space in your city.

What you will do

• Design, modify, and maintain business reports and applications using Power BI and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines in Databricks and dbt.
• Build and collaborate on AI Agents within the Databricks environment.
• Prepare SQL scripts for data modeling and support requirements analysis, data source identification, and ETL development.
• Create datasets for reporting needs, resolve systemic issues, optimize processes, and implement data quality controls.
• Document projects, collaborate through Jira, and mentor team members on technical skills.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics.
• Strong skills in data modeling, process optimization, data marts, and data quality validation.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and T-SQL.
• Advanced knowledge of Databricks, including DABs, Lakeflow Pipelines, Metric Views, and optimization techniques.
• Experience managing Power BI environments, working with .pbip files, version control, cloud environments, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of Data Governance and Data Mesh architecture, with openness to learning new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Coding Agents such as Claude Code.
• Certifications in Power BI, Databricks, dbt, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and markets.
