Senior Power BI Data Analyst – Enterprise Analytics (Power BI)

Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid work model. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries across diverse source systems.
• Develop historical data retrieval logic using dynamic SQL, time-series logic, and date filters.
• Implement custom Power BI SQL parameters to improve data loading performance.
• Author and optimize complex DAX calculations with advanced time intelligence and nested measures.
• Troubleshoot report performance and provide technical guidance, code reviews, and governance practices to junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics, focused on the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Expert knowledge of SQL, including CTEs, subqueries, joins, unions, and aggregation functions.
• Expert-level DAX skills for implementing complex business logic.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Service, gateways, row-level security, and workspace management.
• Fluent English is required.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification (PL-300) or similar.
• French proficiency for collaboration with French-speaking stakeholders.
