Senior Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Poland, with the option to work from the Warsaw office or a coworking space in your city

What you will do

• Respond to ICT security incidents and provide operational support for security monitoring.
• Supervise and optimize SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and other cybersecurity solutions.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, assessment, risk analysis, and mitigation across networks, web and mobile applications, on-premises systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Analyze IT architecture security, perform threat modeling, and audit infrastructure and service configurations.
• Maintain, evaluate, and implement cybersecurity tools and solutions in collaboration with IT, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Develop security awareness through education, best-practice promotion, and dedicated training sessions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a technical IT security role.
• Practical Blue Team experience in monitoring, incident response, security tool maintenance, and tuning, with familiarity with attack techniques for vulnerability assessment.
• Hands-on knowledge of operating-system security, computer networks, web and mobile applications, and cloud environments.
• Experience with vulnerability management, technical risk analysis, and security procedures and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with IT, DevOps, business stakeholders, and security awareness initiatives.
• English at minimum B2 level for fluent technical and business communication.

Nice to have

• Security certifications or knowledge of CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, GIAC, ISO/IEC 27001, AWS Security, or Azure Security.
• Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and security-tool integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Threat Hunting and Digital Forensics & Incident Response experience.
• AI Security knowledge and familiarity with DORA, NIS2, ISO/IEC 27001, or SOC 2.
