TL;DR
Backend Developer (AI Data Collection and Infrastructure): Building and operating the data collection and ingestion infrastructure behind SEO, AI visibility, and search data products with an accent on large-scale web data pipelines, time-series storage, and production reliability. Focus on adding new search surfaces, tuning analytical queries, debugging network and service performance, and growing from scoped changes into end-to-end service ownership.

Location: On-site in central Aarhus, Denmark; hybrid options are planned for later this year.

Company

hirify.global builds SEO analytics, AI visibility tracking, and search data API products powered by large-scale data collection infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Build and operate the collection and ingestion pipeline processing billions of rows, web requests, background jobs, and analytical queries.
  • Add coverage for new search surfaces and maintain existing collectors as external platforms change.
  • Write and optimize queries across columnar and relational data stores.
  • Make scoped changes to existing services and gradually own services from design through deployment and production operation.
  • Work on AI agents, tool design, and data collection challenges across hirify.global, AccuLLM, and AccuSERP.

Requirements

  • Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to reason about runtime costs.
  • Experience with code running in a real production system, hosted service, or user-facing side project.
  • Comfort working in Linux, reading logs, tracing requests, and investigating performance issues.
  • Ownership of problems from investigation through implementation and follow-up.
  • Ability to work on-site in Aarhus.

Nice to have

  • Distributed systems fundamentals, including queues, workers, and backpressure.
  • Python and frameworks or tools such as Django, Celery, pandas, or polars.
  • ClickHouse or another columnar database.
  • Networking, web scraping, browser automation, AI agents, or Kafka experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • End-to-end ownership of services rather than ticket-based work.
  • Frequent releases, with changes sometimes moving from idea to production the same day.
  • Collaborative design discussions focused on correctness, cost, latency, and maintainability.
  • Flexible working hours, pension, health insurance, and paid parental leave.
  • Choice of hardware, catered lunch, fruit, refreshments, and a central office.

Hiring process

  • Apply with a CV and short note in Danish or English.
  • Applications are reviewed as they arrive, with hiring taking place once a suitable candidate is found.
  • A link to something built by the candidate is highly valued.
