Student Software Developer (APIs)

Location: Odense C, Denmark, with hybrid work options from the central Odense office. This is a part-time student role of 10–15 hours per week.

HR-ON builds cloud-based software for recruitment and HR management, serving customers in Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Japan.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Support integrations with payroll, time-tracking, job-portal, and other third-party platforms.
• Develop backend or full-stack features using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Write and optimize queries in PostgreSQL and MariaDB.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and partners to solve customer workflow and data-flow problems.

Requirements

• Current student in software development, IT, computer science, or a related field.
• Basic experience or coursework in backend or full-stack software development.
• Interest in APIs, system integrations, and improving workflows between platforms.
• Problem-solving ability and interest in cloud-based development and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to work in a flexible, collaborative, and trust-based environment.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in AWS and cloud computing.
• Linux scripting experience.
• Experience with type-safe code.
