Senior Software Engineer (Node.js / Serverless Cloud & API Integrations)

Location: Odense C, Denmark, with remote options and regular in-person collaboration at the central office.

What you will do

• Design and build core backend services using Node.js and TypeScript on AWS serverless infrastructure, including Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Model and optimise PostgreSQL and MariaDB data for performance and reliability at scale.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL and REST endpoints for product features and partner integrations.
• Evolve platform architecture for resilience, observability, and maintainability.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and promote clean code through reviews and pair programming.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps colleagues to deliver end-to-end features.

Requirements

• Production-grade Node.js and TypeScript experience with modern serverless patterns.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including schema design and complex query optimisation.
• Experience building GraphQL or REST services and integrating external systems.
• Experience with GitLab or a similar platform for version control, CI, and automated testing.
• Understanding of scalable, maintainable architecture and a collaborative approach to knowledge-sharing.

Nice to have

• AWS infrastructure as code with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Bash or Zsh scripting on Unix-like systems.
• Experience with type-safe, declarative or functional programming styles in TypeScript.
