Cloud Engineer (M365)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global office in Carlsbad, California; Tempe, Arizona; or Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States. US citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.

Salary: $121,000–$191,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $150,000–$225,000 annually.

What you will do

• Administer, configure, monitor, and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams, in a GCC-H environment.
• Implement security controls and maintain compliance with FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-171, and other government requirements.
• Manage B2B collaboration services and integrations between GCC-H and approved commercial clouds.
• Troubleshoot incidents, respond to alerts, deploy patches, and maintain M365 availability and performance.
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Collaborate with IT teams, external organizations, and government bodies on integrations, compliance, and stakeholder reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 administration experience in a large-scale environment.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and related M365 services.
• Knowledge of information security fundamentals and government security and compliance requirements, including FedRAMP, CMMC, and NIST 800-171.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting tools, with strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• US citizenship, the ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance, and availability to work onsite at a hirify.global office are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in government or high-security environments and with GCC-H deployments.
• Microsoft 365, Azure, information protection, security, compliance, identity, or FedRAMP certifications.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS GovCloud, SQL or NoSQL databases, network security, Active Directory, and Intune.
