Software Engineer (Java/SpringBoot)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Georgia, St. Louis, Missouri, Alpharetta, Georgia, Louisville, Kentucky, and Atlanta, Georgia.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, operate, maintain, and improve high-scale applications across the full engineering stack.
• Build cloud-native solutions using serverless computing, microservices, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and related modern practices.
• Integrate systems with internal platforms, including Data Fabric and the CSA Toolset.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technology roadmaps, sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery of project priorities.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues while analyzing impacts on network, service operations, and quality.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on scalability, data access, and information management challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and with cloud-native solution development.
• 5+ years of experience developing Java and SpringBoot microservices with GCP SDKs and GKE/Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform.

Nice to have

• Big data processing with Dataflow, Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer, or Airflow.
• UI development with HTML, JavaScript, Angular, or Bootstrap.
• Backend technologies including Java/J2EE, SpringBoot, SOA, and microservices.
• Git or SVN, GitHub, Maven, Gradle, Agile/Scrum, relational databases, and Atlassian tools.
• Automated testing with JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, or SoapUI.
