NetOps Engineer (Fortigate)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden. Hybrid work, primarily from the Stockholm office, with flexibility to work from home and occasional on-site days at the client’s office.

What you will do

• Operate, improve, and troubleshoot a large Fortigate environment across on-premises infrastructure and Azure.
• Handle daily support tickets, change requests, log analysis, policy refinement, and complex network troubleshooting.
• Create firewall rules and security profiles, manage IPSec VPNs, and work safely with FortiManager.
• Contribute to network segmentation and cloud networking improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with network and cloud engineers, enterprise clients, and delivery teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise with Fortigate firewalls, including rule creation, security profiles, IPSec VPNs, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with FortiManager, including synchronization status checks and change deployment.
• Strong networking fundamentals at a CCNA-equivalent level, including VLANs, trunk and access ports, port channels, BGP, OSPF, and switch configuration.
• Understanding of cloud networking on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Ability to work independently, stay organised under pressure, and deliver reliably in an operations environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional Fortinet products, Check Point, Aruba SD-WAN, zScaler, Infoblox, or Algosec.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD tooling, or advanced Azure and AWS networking.
• Swedish language skills.
