Reconciliations Team Leader (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid working, with a minimum of 50% of working time per month spent in the office; new starters initially work full-time from the office.

Starting salary: £35,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day reconciliation operation and manage workload distribution to meet departmental targets and agreed SLAs.
• Oversee accurate and timely reconciliations, CASS funding, SIPP rebalancing, exception management and resolution of aged or high-value breaks.
• Act as the technical owner for the reconciliation system, monitoring performance and maintaining effective system-related controls.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, managing performance, training, attendance, leave and resource planning.
• Investigate risks, potential breaches and control failures, escalating issues in line with policy and supporting audits.
• Drive process improvements, trend analysis, automation, testing and system or project implementations.

Requirements

• Experience leading, coaching and developing operational teams.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation methodologies, break management, exception management and financial services controls.
• Understanding of FCA CASS requirements, particularly CASS 6, 7, 8 and 10.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, interpret management information, analyse trends and make sound decisions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• CISI Investment Operations Certificate with CASS module is desirable; relevant CII qualifications are advantageous.
