DevOps Engineer Simulation

Location: Manching, Germany; work at the Manching site

hirify.global develops high-fidelity aircraft simulators and operates distributed real-time simulation systems supported by DevOps and CI/CD practices.

What you will do

• Specify, design, and develop DevOps solutions and tools for IT infrastructure and software development environments.
• Set up, maintain, and evolve continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Consult and support software development teams in applying CI/CD principles and improving development and operations efficiency.
• Improve the capabilities and reliability of department-owned and corporate-managed infrastructure, focusing on DevOps tooling.
• Support a service ownership culture and collaborate with DevOps engineers, infrastructure engineers, IT administrators, and software teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least one year of professional experience in DevOps and CI/CD automation development.
• Experience with Jenkins or GitLab, Ansible, Puppet, and/or OPSI for CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment.
• Experience designing and operating enterprise-level infrastructure with infrastructure as code, dynamic provisioning, immutable systems, and HashiCorp tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Vault.
• Strong multi-distribution Linux skills and experience with Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash, C++, or similar languages; Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and storage technologies are required.
• Excellent English proficiency at negotiation level is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Proxmox, KVM, Ceph, ZFS, Samba, Git, Nexus, and Artifactory.
• Full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with air-gapped or secrecy-ready environments, including data diodes, BSI Grundschutz, and encryption.
