Engineering Intern (Python/React)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany; 3 days per week at the Berlin headquarters

What you will do

• Join an engineering team for a six-month internship starting in April 2027.
• Build and ship production backend features with Python and FastAPI on AWS serverless architecture.
• Develop React and TypeScript frontend components, or contribute across the stack.
• Participate in daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical deep dives.
• Contribute to foundational product components while learning from experienced engineers and cross-team groups.

Requirements

• Current Hasso Plattner Institute student studying Computer Science or a related field.
• Availability for a six-month full-time internship in Berlin.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, networking, distributed systems, and databases.
• Passion for simplicity, precision, and high-quality engineering.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS, particularly Lambda.
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
