Co-Op Project Engineer, Commissioning (Robotics)

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, USA — ITC; hands-on testing at the site and travel to client locations or company headquarters may be required.

Salary: $29.00–$37.95 per hour, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Support commissioning plans, test plans, checklists, and technical documentation.
• Assist with system and equipment testing to verify functionality, performance, and deployment readiness.
• Document test results, issues, observations, and follow-up actions in tracking tools.
• Investigate test failures and resolve technical issues with commissioning engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Review engineering information and project requirements to identify commissioning needs.
• Organize lessons learned and recommend practical process improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, automation engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational understanding of engineering principles, system testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Interest in robotics, industrial automation, controls, or electromechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret plans, diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on engineering environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive and/or fly to client locations and company headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLCs, industrial networks, Jira, or similar engineering tools through coursework or projects.
