Production Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Tampere, Finland; hybrid model with active, regular presence at the factory almost every day

What you will do

• Manage production workstation equipment throughout its lifecycle, including new equipment projects, capability, performance, procurement, and supplier collaboration.
• Develop electrical testing equipment and test stations where relevant to your background.
• Drive improvements in shop-floor safety, ergonomics, product quality, and production-line efficiency.
• Plan and execute production layouts and material flows to improve capacity and space utilization.
• Participate in R&D projects as a production and Design for Assembly expert.
• Lead the ramp-up of new products and design updates onto the factory floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machinery, or assembly environment with hands-on problem-solving experience.
• Strong understanding of technical project management, documentation, and equipment procurement.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs, interpret process data, and perform root-cause analysis to improve quality and throughput.
• Fluent Finnish and good professional English required.
• Comfort working directly on the production floor and collaborating with operators, R&D engineers, and equipment vendors.

Nice to have

• Electrical engineering or testing-equipment education or practical interest.
• Experience with machines, 3D CAD modeling, automotive or mechanical work, or jig and fixture design.
