Senior QA Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Hybrid work with three days per week in the Custom House Square office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and the remaining days remotely.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain fast, reliable test frameworks and tooling for services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Define layered test strategies across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing, with most coverage below the user interface.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as quality gates and resolve flaky or slow tests.
• Build test data sets and cloud environments to validate the accuracy of security findings across distributed systems.
• Contribute to performance, load, and reliability testing while defining measurable quality targets.
• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Product, and Customer Success teams on acceptance criteria, issue reproduction, and feature quality.

Requirements

• Senior-level hands-on QA engineering experience with weekly test-code contributions.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and testing services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Experience with backend services in Golang and Java and frontend applications in React with TypeScript.
• Experience testing distributed systems using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, Redis, TimescaleDB, and RabbitMQ.
• Ability to establish testing standards, review test and production code, and teach testing concepts through pairing, reviews, workshops, and documentation.
• Ability to work from the Belfast office three days per week.
