Project Director (Tiger Team)

Location: Mount Pearl, Canada; the role may be based in the Canada, UK, or Denmark office. Frequent international travel is required.

What you will do

• Lead rapid diagnostic reviews of underperforming projects, manufacturing operations, and business units.
• Identify commercial, operational, technical, organisational, leadership, planning, execution, and customer-facing root causes.
• Develop and implement recovery and turnaround plans with clear milestones, ownership, and measurable outcomes.
• Provide guidance on project controls, planning, cost and contract management, change control, risk mitigation, and governance.
• Coach project and operational leadership teams while influencing stakeholders and maintaining accountability with existing management.
• Transfer knowledge, embed sustainable corrective actions, and strengthen project delivery and operational excellence capabilities across the Group.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in project, programme, operational, or business leadership roles.
• Significant experience with complex engineering, offshore, subsea, marine, energy, industrial, or manufacturing projects.
• Proven success recovering challenged or underperforming projects and operations.
• Experience in medium-volume manufacturing and production environments, business transformation, operational improvement, and change management.
• Experience influencing senior and executive stakeholders in complex matrix organisations and working across multiple regions and cultures.
• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline, plus an APM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management qualification.

Nice to have

• Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement qualification.
• MBA or equivalent business qualification.
